Take Me Out to the Ballgame...
Collin went to his first baseball game this weekend! We have a new stadium that just opened-we were the second people EVER to sit in the seats. I was not a huge fan of the Clippers or their new stadium right in the middle of downtown but I have to say they changed my mind! The stadium is great! It is very family friendly and fan friendly. You can even stand outside and watch the game for FREE!!
I'm pretty sure Collin and I were Wyatt's last choice to go to the game but I think it worked out really well. Collin did great-we made it all the way to the 7th inning! I really think he enjoyed it. I know I enjoyed some good quality family time doing something we all enjoyed-and it didn't cost a fortune. I have a feeling we will be spending lots of time at the ballpark! I think Wyatt is already planning Collin's career in baseball.
After the ballgame we headed to the park.
And then back to the barn. While dad made "Skedi" we played play dough.
We decided to end the day with a "camp-out". We pulled out the air mattress and sleeping bags.
We laid down at about 8pm and we were all asleep by 9pm. Guess what time we woke up?? After 9am! Maybe we should camp-out more often.

Weekend Rewind
Friday: I got roped into taking my mom and the kids to get haircuts at Kenneths-WTH was I thinking?@! I had sworn off Kenneths ever since Collin started the crazy screaming thing when he gets his hair cut and since it costs about $15 more than Cookie Cutters or all the other haircut places. I know I like to go and relax and have a little quiet time when I get my hair cut there. The last thing I want to hear is some screaming kid-BUT-we went anyway...WITH ALL 3 KIDS!! And on the way my mom decides to throw in a little...Oh-BTW... I made a waxing appointment AT THE SAME TIME AS THE KIDS HAIRCUTS!! That means me and 3 freaking kids. To say the least, I was NOT happy! Here are a few pics of our Kenneths trip-NEVER AGAIN!
Next, we took the kids back home and it was naps for the little ones and Brylie got to go get a manicure and pedicure. Once again, my mothers idea. We have a nail place by our house that has a couple of "kid size" pedicure chairs-they are cute, I have to admit. My mom has my 4 year old neice addicted! But, she loved her special time with Nana and Aunt Sissy.
We had to have our Easter with the girls on Friday because they were going back to North Carolina on Saturday. I think everyone expected me to make a big Easter dinner but my brother casually mentioned he was craving Jets pizza so I gladly obliged! So, we had pizza and then it was time for the Easter Egg Hunt and Easter Baskets! Oh yay! More Candy!
Saturday: Today we went to an Easter Egg Hunt at our gym. Very unorganized-but Collin didn't know the difference. He got to get out of the house and got a little candy, what more could a 2 year old want? We also got to see the Easter Bunny again. We have officially gone to the OTHER extreme. Now, we can't keep him away from the bunny! We had to physically restrain him so he would stay out of the other kids pictures. He didn't necessarily want to sit on the bunny's lap but he did want to hang out. They also had a giant slide which Collin loved when we went to World of Bounce but he doesn't seem to like it as much now. Fine with me-just one less place I have to drag him out of kicking and screaming because he's having so much fun! ;*)
Sunday: HAPPY EASTER! I had to go to work for a while so it was a very laid back Easter. Both of Collin's grandmas and one of Wyatts brothers came over. No, we did not have pizza this time-we had chicken!! Not very traditional are we?? No Easter egg hunt this time just Easter Baskets. Collin got a bubble maker, a Backyardigans ball, some books and movies and various other stuff. He LOVES the bubble machine! Daddy also got him a racetrack for Matchbox cars, which was a huge hit! We didn't get Collin any candy BUT I did re-gift candy from Nana and Pops Easter basket!
And finally-the hot tub! A nice end to a nice weekend!

FFF-No theme this week
There is no theme this week but I have lots of FFF ammo since the girls are in town. We hit the Tuttle Mall play area yesterday and ended up running into 3 more of Collin's cousins!! They had some serious fun!
The best part was trying to walk through the mall with my 2 attachments. B&K were NOT letting go of the stroller. They had to be with thier "Baby Collin" at all times!
Collin picked out his shirt once again. He is really getting stubborn about what he wears. I have to actually hide certain things-out of sight out of mind. Unfortunatly, I forgot to hide the spider shirt!

Reunited
The girls are home for Spring Break! Poor Nana is trying to sell the condo but I sure hope nobody wants to see it this week! Collin, Kahlen and Brylie-the 3 little maniacs are back in action-at least for a few days.The girls were very happy to see "Baby Collin". There were lots of hugs and kisses and craziness.
Brylie planned a tea party for us. Here is the lovely snack she lovingly prepared for each of us. As you can see she is a little Betty Crocker in training!
The two tasmanian devils swirled through the basement and spread toys in record time!
And they insisted on having a "campout" next to the fireplace. Collin is doing his best fake sleep impression.

Our Weekend in Review
Well, the weekend is over. It just never seems to last long enough! It was a pretty casual weekend. We did a lot but didn't feel too rushed. We kicked off the weekend with a cookout at Josh and Julie's house. Collin got to play with his cousins and seemed to have a really good time!
Sunday we went to an Easter Egg Hunt. Collin was a little young last year and didn't really seem to grasp the concept. This year, I had a plan-PRACTICE!! Peyton was over this weekend so we got out the plastic eggs and put Collin through Easter Egg Hunt Boot Camp! I knew if we didn't go prepared we would leave empty handed-and no body wants to leave with an empty Easter basket. He might be small but I knew he had the potential to be an egg pickin' machine!! I was also a little concerned over a slight issue with the Easter Bunny-Collin hates the bunny, won't go close to the bunny,HATES THE BUNNY!!!
When we first arrived, as usual,wanted nothing to do with the bunny or any of the other fun stuff they had. He was chomping at the bit, like a well trained soldier preparing for battle! We had a healthy meal of hot dogs, chips, cookies and orange drink. I think this was only the second hot dog Collin has ever had in his life. He never eats any of those things and you could tell-he was wild! Finally it was time for the main event!
We headed outside and he performed beautifully! Not too aggressive where he was knocking over little girls but he wasn't just standing there giving eggs away either!! So we filled up the Elmo head...which by the way, has been worth every penny of the $3.99 I paid for it for Halloween last year! Elmo made it through Halloween, he has accompanied us many times to the park for rock and specimen collection as well as served as Collin's "Man Bag" almost every day and now he has proven himself worthy of the lofty title of "Easter basket"! Way to go Elmo! By the end of the day Collin had made friends with the Bunny and was even trying to share with it! And that is something he doesn't do very often!
Tonight, we colored Easter Eggs-and Collin's hands and his feet and his face and his clothes...you get the picture. In true Wilson fashion, our Easter eggs rank right up there with our Christmas Cookies-they look like a 2 year old made them! We made 4 dozen!! Why? I don't know! Eggs were on sale for .99 a dozen??? We have a lot of egg salad and deviled eggs in our future! If anyone has any good recipies with hard boiled eggs, let me know! We ended the evening with our weekly online chat with Collin's foster family in Guatemala then to the tub and off to bed. Back to the grind tomorrow. Bryan and the girls should be getting into town late tonight. Collin will be so excited to see Brylie and Kahlen!!
